KDE5 application launcher does not display on secondary screen

I have a setup with 2 monitors (extended desktop). On my primary monitor I have a vertical panel with application launcher on the left edge of my screen. On my secondary monitor I have a vertical panel with application launcher on the right edge of my screen.

The application launcher on the primary monitor works fine, but if I click the application launcher button on the secondary screen, most of the time the launcher is not displayed. You do see the active application loose focus on first click, and regain focus on second click. Sometimes the launcher does appear in the top right corner of the primary screen.

Using Kubuntu 15.04, upgraded recently from 14.10
Using alternative kernel 3.19.6-031906-generic due to Juniper VPN bug, but issue also happend on original 3.19.
