Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager-kde

On the kubuntu-destktop there is plasma-wigdget-networkmanagement that works fine.

but if you want install network-manager-kde the system removes plasma-widget-networkmanagement .

so after that you can get the unmanaged icon, even if you have connected your cable and you are browsing in internet so....

sudo sed -i "s/managed=false/managed=true/g" /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf && sudo restart network-manager

Why do you want to use network-manager-kde instead of the plasma widget?
It's unmaintained upstream so I'm wondering if we should just remove it.

well, i installed a core natty system then i have added the software with my hands , so i used network-manager-kde instead of the plasma widget.

if it is unmaintained i guess should be better remove it , i didn't know that , i guess internet connection is a priority on linux without that you can't get help. So yea it would be better remove it.

btw it just run perfect with that fix , i just using that right now , but i plan to use wicd-kde , i have created for that a debian package if you are interested ( i have read about your job on debian-kubuntu-package side.) by the way wicd-daemon seems to install wicd gui too, that is unfortunate stuff.
