Can you attach or copy and paste the contents of the following file /etc/network/interfaces to this bug report?

Along with this (stupid) bug there is also the fact that if you disable the (wireless) network, it will be back enabled at the next reboot.

This stupid bug is only happening to the KDE plasma-widget-networkmanagement.
Under GNOME it's perferctly working.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plasma-widget-networkmanagement/+bug/705332 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. What's been also reported there, is that under KDE there's no "system connection" possible, only connections local to each user.

It is necessary to install network-manager-gnome on Kubuntu to edit "Auto eth0" connection.

Still no changes in 11.04. It is just necessary that KDE plasma-widget-networkmanagement adds “no-auto-default=<hwaddr>,<hwaddr>,...” to /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf like nm-connection-editor in Gnome (see man-page for NetworkManager.conf). Or just disable default wired connections with “no-auto-default=*” for Kubuntu.
