global menubar frequently crashes in ubuntu 12.04

plasma-widget-menubar (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

I don't know why but recently, the widget menubar makes plasma crashes when:
1) Open LibreOffice with lo-menubar installed. (always)
2) Close google-chrome (less frequently)

Because plasma-desktop has no debug symbol, the dr.Konqi can not produce any backtrace. When plasma crashes, the list of packages which need debug symbol is only plasma-widget-menubar and plasma-desktop.

Same here. I have tried running Chromium/Google Chrome with UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 so it bypasses the menubar widget and then doesn't crash at all.
Without the menuproxy flag, it crashes frequently on close again.
Has also happened with other GTK apps (Cheese and Thunderbird)

This is the only backtrace which can be generated.
The problem can also occur when a pidgin chat window suddenly appears.

I have a laptop with Kubuntu 12.04. I do not have lo-menubar installed and LibreOffice and Chromium works fine, however...

If plasma-widget-menubar is in use and I put the laptop to sleep, then on resume from sleep plasma-desktop crashes.
Luckily, it restarts and I don't have to reboot. Plasma-applet-menubar is involved in the crash. See attachment.
