Bug Description

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-fortunoid

The widget box is created, but then says object cannot be created because
"Cannot find /usr/bin/fortune.pl /usr/games/fortune"

But both fortune(.pl) files do exist. Widget was working fine in the past.
The bug might be due to update to KDE 4.6.0 on Maverick from backports PPA.

bug still exists in *fresh* install of (K)Ubuntu Natty Narwal. Hence this package is totally useless right now.

wish there was this plasmoid from old kde versions where one can display the console output of any program, and set it manually to fortunes. was also much more versitale, e.g. for other console progs (top, etc.)

This is a "me too" message. I encounter exactly the same behaviour under Kubuntu 11.04 (64 bit). I really miss those cookies...
