Bug Description
I installed plasma-desktop and subsequently kubuntu-dekstop packages on a system running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS that already had Unity and GNOME installed.
There are a number of problems with regards to KDE appearance settings. In particular, changing the icon theme in Settings -> Icons does not seem to have any effect whatsoever. I tried changing mine to Breeze and Breeze-dark as well as other icon themes coming with Ubuntu install, and none of them worked: either in Dolphin or KDE menu.
Another problem is the size of font used in KDE menu: it's too big (see the screenshot). Changing font size in system settings didn't change it.
None of this issues occur if I run Kubuntu 16.04 from a live CD, so I presume it has something to do with my existing configuration. Deleting ~/.kde and ~/.config didn't have any positive effect though.
