can you launch pitivi from the command line this way

GST_DEBUG=*:2,python:5 pitivi -ia yourfile.mpg >pitivi.log 2>&1

then close pitivi and attach pitivi.log here?

Okay, seems like many people are experiencing this, however I'm not.

Does it happen only with specific video files? If so, providing samples of such files may be helpful.

Also, please provide precise minimal steps to trigger the bug reliably.

As I said, I am not able to reproduce this problem. I need sample files that are known to trigger the problem or exact instructions to reproduce it.
