Bug Description

Upon any type of web browser lanuch (EG: File a bug, more information button, etc), the main UI Window goes blank until the browser is closed.

The issue goes away after the browser is closed, possiblly an issue with my GTK Installation?

Also, for some reason, pithos is opening firefox. Not sure if it's a hard coded call, but I have chromium-browser set to my default

What distribution and release are you using?

Pithos uses python's webbrowser module to open a browser, so this is probably a bug in Python if the browser is not being opened correctly, or if it is freezing the Pithos process.

Ubuntu 11.10. Default install. I did apply a patch to get rid of the time bug. I also noticed that the same message was spammed when I opened chromium from docky, so it's most likely an issue with the install. Still not sure why the UI window would blank out though...

I believe that the reason pithos was using firefox was because your $BROWSER environmental variable was set to firefox. You should unset it to fix that problem.

The hanging gui issue is fixed in my pull request: https://github.com/kevinmehall/pithos/pull/11
