Pidgin depends specifically on perl 5.12

Running 12.04 Precise, and just updated my packages - since precise now uses perl 5.14, pidgin has broken dependencies:
(for libpurple0:)
Requires: libperl5.12
Requires: perlapi5.12.4

(for pidgin:)
Requires: perlapi5.12.4

I suggest that these dependencies are changed for Precise so that they rely on the appropriate packages for Perl 5.14.

This bug was fixed in the package pidgin - 1:2.10.0-0ubuntu3

Have upgraded from Ubuntu 11.10 to Ubuntu 12.04 and I'm no longer able to connect to Microsoft Office Communicator.
Every time I try to reconnect I get a "Read error".
