gaim causes warnings on trillian clients

Hello,
gaim 2.0beta3.1 causes warnings on trillian clients because ICQ implementation seems to contradict definition, but previous versions don't.

original german message that trillian shows during conversation:
*** HINWEIS: Dieser Benutzer verwendet offenbar eine ältere Version von Mirabilis ICQ, das ein veraltertes ICQ Protokoll verwendet. Aus diesem Grund KANN es zu Nachrichtenverlust kommen. Ermuntern Sie die Gegenstelle, auf Trillian oder zumindest eine aktuelle ICQ Version umzusteigen (Sie können notfalls auch E-Mailen oder anrufen... ;) ). Sie können diesen Hinweis unter "ICQ Profileinstellungen->Verschiedenes" abstellen..

Only Trillian users see this message.
I never experience any problems like message loss.
