Can't send messages to Empathy using Bonjour

Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

Steps to reproduce:
1) On one computer, start Empathy, "persons in neighbourhood" (Bonjour) is active by default
2) On another computer in the LAN, start pidgin with Bonjour activated
3) Send a message from Pidgin to Empathy

Result:
4a) Pidgin says "Can't send message, can't initiate conversation"

Expected results:
4b) Pidgin should send the message.

Additional info:
A1) Sending from Empathy to Pidgin works
A2) When Empathy initiates the conversation to Pidgin, sending messages back works too
