What I found out is that when you install 9.10 ubuntu to a computer the pidgin doesn't work well at all. When you talk in pidgin from a yahoo (formated to 9.10) account to another yahoo (upgraded to 9.10 from 9.04) account, it asks to authenticate. Being on the 9.10 (orginally formated to 9.10), I could not authenticate the user in yahoo. The other user that I am talking to also has problems with his pidgin talking to me. If he talks to other yahoo accounts he doesn't have trouble. The only difference is that he orginally had 9.04 ubuntu and then upgraded to 9.10. I just installed the 9.10 version of ubuntu. Since, I reformated my computer to 9.04 ubuntu and I don't have anymore trouble with pidgin. I will be upgrading to the 9.10 version of the ubuntu instead of just installiing the 9.10. The other thing that I saw is that some of the screen savers aren't in the 9.10 version when you just install it. When you have 9.04 version of the program and then upgrade it to the 9.10 version all of the screen savers are there. ....Mark ________________________________ From: Marc Deslauriers
