pidgin cannot connect to YM

Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

my pidgin in Ubuntu 9.04 cannot connect to YM.. It's just trying to connect, but it couldn't.. I can ping scs.msg.yahoo.com But why I still couldn't connect to YM? How do I solve this problem? Thx before..

I have the same issue just now.. dont know if it is cause on yahoo's side.

issue was resolved; i just signed in using yahoo messenger from xp... would there be a long term fix for this issue?

after a few minutes i tried to login using pidgin and issue has been resolved.
