pidgin closes when cross is clicked unlike in Ubuntu 8.10 (Now on 9.04)

Bug Description
Binary package hint: pidgin
In 8.10, when the small cross is clicked on the Buddy List would minimize to an icon on the panel.
In 9.04 when it is clicked, the whole program closes
I'm now using 9.04 and the version of Pidgin is 1:2.5.5-1ubuntu8
