Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

I just upgraded to Ubuntu Jaunty Alpha 5, and am seeing that Pidgin uses the new notification system for status updates. However, I'm not very fond of the updates, as I have a large number of "buddies" in my list, and so there are frequent notifications for a user signing on/off.

Is there a way to selectively disable the notifications? I would like to disable the sign on/off notifications, but still see them if somebody messages me. Currently, I see no option.

I think the hard-to-findness of this option is still a UI bug. There should be something in the main preferences panel at least hinting at the existance of plugin config options (a 'plugin options' button or a list of active plugins with 'preference' buttons or something)
