Buddy status does not update in conversation window

Binary package hint: pidgin
I'm using Intrepid with its version of Pidgin, 1:2.5.2-0ubuntu1
I don't think it's due to any plugins, since it's just the basic status on AIM that I notice it on.
When a buddy goes idle, it updates in the buddy list, and then counts how long they have been idle. At the top of the conversation window where it shows their name and status, however, the time does not update. I think the window has to at least have focus for a certain period of time for it to update to the current status. When the buddy becomes unidle, I think that the conversation window still does not update until it receives focus.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu and Pidgin since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. If you could test the current Ubuntu development version, this would help us a lot. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #>, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
