pidgin hangs when using evolution configured with exchange protocol

Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

With an email account configured to use exchange server, pidgin hangs whenever I click on anything other than the menu.

# pidgin -d
<lots of logs>
<click on anything>
evolution: Error 0 in getting card list

After disabling email account in Evolution, pidgin works as expected.

Before this happened, I was getting occasional pidgin crashes instead of hangs. Evo would pop up a message that some backend process died, and evo required restart. If I see that message again, I will post.

1) Start Evolution, connect to exchange email account
2) strace -Ff -tt pidgin 2>&1 | tee strace-pidgin.log
3) right click on pidgin window to get info on contact
4) watch it freeze

3) right click on pidgin window to get info on contact
4) watch it NOT freeze
5) quit pidgin without incident

Use case #3:

1) After doing above, start pidgin
2) Start conversation with contact in pidgin
3) Enable exchange account in evolution
4) Watch evolution be "unable to retrieve message" with status line "error while refreshing folder"
5) kill pidgin
6) quit evo
7) start evo, notice it asks you for the password, you give it and wonder why it forgot it...
8) watch evo retrieve messages without incident

I got sick of not having IM, so I started it for fun. I got two error dialogs that effectively said the same thing:

The Evolution tasks|calendar have quit unexpectedly.
Your tasks will not be available until Evolution is restarted.

Reverting to IMAP. Lemme know if I can help.
