We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for taking time for answer me, the truth is when I report the bug
I was using the kernel Linux 2.6.27-3-generic i686, after to the next
upgrade of ubuntu, I don't have the problem again, now is fixed.
Therefore please put complete the status of this report.

I am also having difficulties with pidgin: seems to be randomly crashing, no pattern to it. Here's what I'm running:

Linux excaliber 2.6.27-11-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 29 19:24:39 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

Only symptom is that the program becomes unresponsive and goes gray before crashing.
