Bug Description

Synaptic reports:

"Pidgin is a graphical, modular Instant Messaging client capable of using
AIM/ICQ, Yahoo!, MSN, IRC, Jabber, Napster, Zephyr, Gadu-Gadu, Bonjour,
Groupwise, Sametime, SILC, and SIMPLE all at once."

Never the less the actual pidgin-ubuntu-package neither "knows" SILC nor there's a fitting SILC-plugin in the repos.
This is no security vulnerabiltiy, of course. - But a SILC-Plugin would highly enhance Pidgins security...

...Why do e. g. Bug-#1-Protocol (MSN) and Yahoo come with the ubuntu-pidgin-package wherelse the secure, open-source-solution SILC doesn't...?
