Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

I was testing gutsy amd64 dvd 20071010.2. I started pigdin, wanting to use IRC. I selected "add" as it suggests, and connected successfully to irc.ubuntu.com. I selected Buddies / Join a chat and entered #ubuntu-testing in the resulting prompt.

As a result a new tab labelled `#ubuntu-testing' appeared in the window which was titled `freenode-connect'. However this tab was not made the current tab. Clearly it should have been.

Thanks for reporting this issue. However, in the current pidgin-version this seems to work. Is this still an issue for you?
