Window gets shorter when restoring.

This happened with 12.04 when I was trying Unity. And, apparently it is still going on...

Open pidgin.
It should now be in the Messenger notification tray area with a triangle indicating it is running.
Click envelope icon.
Click Pidgin.
Pidgin window should now be open.
Stretch the widow tall.

Repeat:
Close the window using the X.
Click envelope icon.
Click Pidgin.

As you repeat, you will notice the Pidgin window gets shorter and shorter.

FYI: Does not happen with 12.04+Gnome+AWN.
