Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin-libnotify

Whenever a new message arrives in pidgin, the indicator applet letter turns to green. When I click the indicator applet, the name of the person that sent the message is there, just below the pidgin entry. When I click on the name of the sender, a chat window opens... and this chat window cannot be closed again.

Steps to reproduce:

- Install pidgin and pidgin-notify.
- When a message arrives, it is displayed in the indicator applet.
- Click on the sender's name in the indicator applet.
- The chat window opens and cannot be closed.

Expected:

- The chat window (and its tabs) should close.

Using Ubutu Lucid 10.04 64-bit desktop version.
Tried with both distro-pidgin (2.6.6) and upstream-pidgin (2.7.0).
