Bug Description

Binary package hint: phpmyadmin

I installed mysql (5.1really5.0.34.0). I did no reboot after install. Than I tried to install phpmyadmin. When the wizard tried to configure the PMA Database, it required the mysql root password. But, I didn't have it or it had to be empty, because it was a fresh install. So I left the input box empty and clicked 'next'. This wasn't accepted and I was prompted to do when an error occured. I selected 'ignore'. Than, this message appeared.

Edit: It was a KUbuntu 8.04.3 which has been updated to KUbuntu 9.04 just before installing webserver components. Maybe, this is important.
