Binary package hint: libapache2-mod-php5
yeah php5 is not working for me on jaunty I installed it and restarted apache2 but the browser keeps trying to download the *.php files

Thank you for reporting this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. Can you apache2/ error.log?
try restarting Apache2 with /etc/init.d/apache2 restart and posting any
relevant errors in /var/log/syslog and /var/log/
