Diego, could you try it to reproduce under i386 in vm?
Maybe it has something to do with alignment on 64-bit.

P.S.: You should care if odbc (or php) is badly coded, because buffer overflows can trigger remote attacks on your server leading do DoS or even intrusion into your system.
