Bug Description

As per the bug report on PHP.net (http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=40261), there is a bug in PHP 5.2.1 that causes a memory fragmentation. This causes serious slow downs on PHP pages when interacting with databases. This has been fixed in the latest 5.2.4 release.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - the Gutsy Gibbon.

The upstream bug has been fixed in 5.2.2.
