Bug Description

The sound setup system does not display SPDIF Digital.

I've been reporting for quite some time that when choosing the desired sound system, the SPDIF Digital option never appears.

I have a 5.1 sound system that I connect through the SPDIF Digital (optical) cable, and I have to juggle to get it to work. Unfortunately in the last version of Ubuntu or Kubuntu the patch I used doesn't work anymore.

The rest of the settings are correct, Analog SPDIF, stereo, etc.

Please, could someone make the system recognize that audio output automatically?

Thank you in advance
