Bug Description

For example, if I right-click on a database, choose "Properties", and then I push "OK" or "Cancel", the whole application exits. It happens on every object, regardless of its type (except on a server).

It also happens if I simply press the "Escape" key in my keyboard.

Operative system: Kubuntu 12.04 LTS (64-bit)
Package version: 1.14.0-2

I've done more tests and have discovered that it crashes when Kubuntu is using the GTK theme "oxygen-gtk", which is set by default. If I set a different theme, it doesn't crash. So, Should I report the Kubuntu maintainers instead? Thank you.

I can confirm the bug, I first noticed it when trying to change a column of an existing table, then after trying to create a new table - every time when closing the column properties window.
I can also confirm that changing GTK theme to clearlooks (after installing gtk2-engines) in KDE's System Settings solves the problem (however oxygen-gtk would look better).

Hello!

I thought that I had commented about my progresses with this bug here , but it seems that I didn't.

Some hours after opening this report, I opened a another one in the KDE's bug report panel. And someone from that team guided me to the origin of this error: it's in the package "gtk2-engines-oxygen", which is not up to date in Kubuntu 12.04 LTS and thus it still fails.

Here is my bug report in the KDE's bug panel: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=299633 .

My report was classified as a duplicate of this one: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=299633 .

They recommend us to ask to the Ubuntu team to update this package (I also would include "gtk3-engines-oxygen", just in case): https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=299633 .

A temporal solution (at your own risk) is to install the last package from the next version of Ubuntu. I took it from the Launchpad repository and installed it manually: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk2-engines-oxygen .

Oh, I forgot to comment something else. Be careful if you also have installed programs for the i386 architecture. I installed Google Earth and it deleted my updated version of "gtk2-engines-oxygen" to install the i386 version (which is not updated either in Kubuntu 12.04 LTS). My solution was to install the updated versions of both packages, the one for the i386 architecture and the other one for the amd64's.

Thanks for the update.
I should also mention to anyone who stumbles upon this report that the proposed version of gtk2-engines-oxygen also works, there is no need to meddle with the next version of ubuntu (probably it did not exist yet when negora checked it).
