pdfedit refuses to edit read-only files

Binary package hint: pdfedit

Take any pdf file, and if it is not writable by the user, pdfedit will refuse to open it.

$ wget http://www.vacadsci.org/handbook/AppendixD.pdf -O AppendixD.pdf
$ chmod a-w AppendixD.pdf
$ pdfedit AppendixD.pdf
