Bug Description

I had been using a PS3 gamepad on pcsxr (1.9.92) for a while on Ubuntu 14.04, but last week realized it stopped working.

The controller is detected by lsusb on Terminal, but it does not appear in pcsxr (or even in jstest-gtk).

I think this is a problem specific to trusty, since I tried to use the controller in a laptop with precise (probably an earlier vesion of pcsxr) and it worked correctly.

My lsusb output is:

I'm not 100% certan but I believe bug #1556444 is a duplicate or at least related to this bug. That bug more closely matches the issue I am experiencing. Dance mat detected when connected, but input not registered. I posted a more detailed comment there.

I've also found bug #1584475 which sounds like another possible duplicate.
