Bug Description
Binary package hint: pcsx-df
PCSX and PCSX-df are great projects but they are lagging compared to newer projects. PCSX-Reloaded (called "pcsx-r" as the package name on the official site) is a new project started earlier this year which not only adds new features but it increases compatibility for playing games .For example, Final Fantasy IX has a terrible issue with cut-scenes in PCSX-df, but with PCSX-Reloaded it plays almost exactly like it does on the original system. The UI has also been tweaked to make things easier to understand and Netplay support is planned as well IIRC.
Including this, even as an optional replacement for pcsx-df, in the official Ubuntu repos would be so great and it would save me a lot of time. The website already has a .deb available for i386 operating systems if it helps at all.

Yes, this needs to happen. pcsx-df is starting to rot a bit with lots of broken features. pcsx-r not only maintains those features, but enhances the entire project. I think two separate bugs should happen, one to request packaging, and one to request removal. I will mark up this bug accordingly.
