Fix:
Add definition of PCSCD_ARGS="" to /etc/default/pcscd:
Existing /etc/default/pcscd is an empty file
New /etc/default/pcscd with line added:
PCSCD_ARGS=

This is fixed upstream in version 2.3.1 of pcsc-lite with a default /etc/default/pcscd /blog.apdu. fr/posts/ 2024/12/ new-version- of-pcsc- lite-231/
