Unable to cut+paste using PCManFM in Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

Bug Description

The cut functionality is not working in the fresh install of PCManFM. I've tried doing cut and paste using the dropdown navigation bar (Edit >> Cut, Edit >> Paste), and also tried using the hotkeys (Ctrl-x Ctrl-v). Nothing happens, and the files I try to cut is not moved into a new folder, etc...

Notes:
- I am not using LUbuntu
- Interestingly, *copy* and paste works in PCManFM, so I can use hotkeys (Ctrl-c Ctrl-v)/dropdown nav bar to copy files.
- Cut and paste used to work for (the APT repository) PCManFM in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
- Cut and paste currently works using the Qt port of PCManFM (pcmanfm-qt version:0.12.0-5)

It is interesting that this is not reproducible in Lubuntu. We've apparently got something Ubuntu doesn't, which is strange, because we're quite similar at the core. Maybe try installing lubuntu-core or the lxde (or maybe lxde-core) metapackage and see if you can't figure out what you're missing. My guess is that this comes down to a missing package.

BTW: I would consider pcmanfm-qt as a separate project from pcmanfm. Admittedly PCMan. is the creator, but he hasn't contributed to pcmanfm since 2012 (https://git.lxde.org/gitweb/?p=lxde/pcmanfm.git;a=search;s=Hong+Jen+Yee+(PCMan);st=author). Instead, the primary contributor is Andriy Grytsenko (https://git.lxde.org/gitweb/?p=lxde/pcmanfm.git;a=search;s=Andriy+Grytsenko;st=author), unlike pcmanfm-qt where PCMan is still #1 (https://github.com/lxqt/pcmanfm-qt/commits?author=pcman)

This describes my problem too (since some time).
Cut and past don't work in PCManFM 1.2.5, but works on the very same file in the default file manager Filer 3.26.4.
That should rule out other stuff I think.

Same result in standard "Ubuntu" session as in "GNOME Flashback (Metacity)" (gnome-session-flashback).

Same here (for a while now)
I am using ubuntu + Pcmanfm and installed the lxde package (with 18.04 I prefer lxde)

Is this recongnized as a bug ? While not major, crl+x is a very standard and useful shortcut....
Tx
Christophe
