Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS 32 bit + lubuntu-desktop
Using pcmanfm ODB files (OpenOffice/LibreOffice Base) are "detected" as ZIP files.
At LXDE desktop if I open LXTerminal and I call nautilus, nautilus shows correctly de mime type of the file (open application and icon file). |
In Lubuntu's PCManFM, look like zip files, and open with Archive Manager by default.
Not sure if this is a default settings thing or a PCManFM thing, because if PCManFM is installed in Ubuntu, PCManFM will display ODB as Zip although Nautilus correctly shows ODB logo (see attachment).
Expected: ODB files open with LibreOffice Base if installed.
Result: ODB files open with Archive Manager by default, regardless of installation of LibreOffice Base.
Simple workaround:
Right-click on ODB file, select Open With...
Select LibreOffice Base
Check box next to "Set selected application as default action for this file type"
Versions affected: precise, vivid
