Bug Description

Steps to reproduce the "ghost icons":
1) fresh installation of saucy daily;

2) create 2 txt files on the desktop; create also a folder on the desktop;

3) start moving the icons/files and icons/folder to different positions on the desktop;

the more you move the icons to different corners of the desktop, the more visible the ghosts will be.

4) start playing with another software, such as firefox. 1 to 2 minutes after moving the icons and while playing with firefox, you'll see the "ghosts".

the ghosts are your icons moving to the positions you moved previously.

note that only ghosts are moving, not the icons in fact. but that's kind of annoying.

if you're not able to reproduce, i'm making a video... just wait see? see it? stoping video.

video attached.

besides me, there are more fellows reproducing this ghost bug on other lubuntu versions, such as 13.04:

There's a thread on lubuntu-users list with useful info:
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/lubuntu-users/2013-August/005482.html

From the thread, I'm sure the ghost bug is related to PCManFM managing the desktop.

If you change the desktop manager to Thunar and the Xfce4 desktop, ghost icons are gone.

Is this ghost related to libfm? If we get the next version libfm can we solve the bug?
