Things work as expected when the curent directory is opened as root (via "open current folder as root")

Note: The above is not a valid workaround.

I can't reproduce this error, lxterminal opens in the correct directory even as non-root. I tried multiple directories, with and without space, remote (cifs and nfs) and local, on ext4 and ntfs. It opens the directory everytime. Do you get any output if you start pcmanfm via the terminal?

Had the same problem in Lubuntu 14.04.1. At least in my case behavior depends on the terminal. Hence, it might be a bug related to the specific terminal. Anyway, it worked with xterm, and lxterminal. It does not work with lilyterm 0.9.9.4-0~1. I haven't tried others.

I've tried this in a virgin 14.04.1 (pcmanfm 1.2.0-1, lxterminal 0.1.11-4ubuntu3), 14.10 (pcmanfm 1.2.3-0ubuntu1, lxterminal 0.1.11-4ubuntu3), and 15.04 (pcmanfm 1.2.3-1, lxterminal 0.1.11-4ubuntu3):

1. open pcmanfm
2. navigate to Downloads folder
3. Use Tools → Open Folder in Terminal

Every time lxterminal opens in Downloads. To confirm:

1. in the opened pcmanfm, navigate to Home folder
2. Use Tools → Open Folder in Terminal

Every time lxterminal opens in Home.

That being said, I cannot confirm this as a bug and will render it invalid. If you have specific information about what versions and steps can replicate this, please reopen.
