Bug Description

Despite repeated attempts to adjust ATI HD BIOS settings, sound has not returned. I suspect problem originated when changing setttings from "AC97" in BIOS,to "HD" ,in terms of front panel port for headphones. Interesting, problem appeared in VLC player initially as noise over otherwise normal movie sound..but Amarok player sound initially unaffected. Later, sound disappeared completely.
