Button clicks don't work on all buttons

Binary package hint: pavucontrol

Problem: If I left, middle or right mouse click on the button where apps and devices are getting their output from, nothing happens (ie: no drop down list).

Solution: Right clicking the button to give it some sort of tab order focus, followed by the space bar, seems to activate the custom dropdown style menus used in this UI. The standard UI dropdown list button seems to work properly though.

This screenshot is showing the particular menu that I am having problems access with a simple mouse click. As noted in the first post, I had to right click this button, and then hit space bar in order to get this menu to appear.

The "&Show" label in this screen shot shows the dropdown list on "Applications". This is the working dropdown type.

I am not sure what might have caused this action to get remapped, but if you have any ideas, please, let me know.

This is more of just a follow up, showing that the other dropdown list type works just fine.
