Thanks. I'm afraid it is a wishlist item :)
It may conflict with another design goal which is to keep everything as simple as possible for those who choose the automatic solution.
The best solution might be to add an option to the advanced partition that would suggest an automated setup for you and you could choose whether or not to go along with that. |

Looks reasonable to me; this would need to be done in the confirm_changes function in partman-base/definitions.sh. |
