Bug Description

Binary package hint: partman-base

Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) Alpha 2 x86_64 LiveCD. Asus M3A78-EM motherboard with AMD 780G/SB700, Phenom 9550, Maxtor Maxtor 6Y160P0 PATA and WD360 (Raptor) SATA drives. LiveCD ISO is mounted on a local server and is being loaded over NFS via PXE netbooting.

During install to the WD360, Partman fails with "Could not stat device /dev/mapper/asr_System - No such file or directory." Thinking the extra drives were confusing it I removed everything except the WD360 but received the same error. I changed the BIOS setting for the interface from AHCI to SATA and received the same error regarding asr_ARRAY0.
