Bug Description
kubuntu 8.04 i386
installer in text mode
I have about 16 partitions on 2 discs. onw is Windows XP, some are Linux Sidux + Suse + kubuntu. About 8 partitions contain data (ext3), several are home partitions of a linux.
I wish to link all data partitions to each linux, so that I can read the data mutually.
I have installed kubuntu in text mode. /(root) in hda6, /home in hdb6. These should be re-formatted. ok.
The partitions hda3 and hdb5,7,8 should keep their data, but bound into the directory tree.
The installer asks if I wish to assign a label - oh yes, please.
After that, it has obviously re-formatted the data partitions, thus deleting all data.
It should at least give a warning: assigning a label implies reformatting!!!
This problem does not occur in the graphical installer, since there is no occation to assing labels.
