KDE partition manager fails to show partitions when run

Testing Kubuntu Mantic daily ISO dated 04.09.2023

KDE partition manager fails to show partitions when run.
Selecting "refresh devices" also just shows blank as in attached screenshot.

This tested on both barebone and VM systems.
