Ok, seems that this is dead end. Too rare configuration to generate interest to be fixed. As result though Ubuntu 10.04.1 is completely un-installable for nvidia 430 raid0+1 systems and also clear downgrade as this configuration is working in 8.04. I feel frustrated and need to start investigating other OS'es and HW ...
