parcellite does not display applet on gnome panel

Bug Description

Binary package hint: parcellite

1. Install parcellite 0.9.2-1 on Lucid (sudo apt-get install parcellite)
2. Use it
3. Remove it (sudo apt-get purge parcellite
4. Install again (sudo apt-get install parcellite)
5. parcellite starts ok, but there is no indicator applet in the top panel

There does not appear to be a way to get parcellite working again once you have removed it

Solved (sort of).

All I had to do was mv ~/.gconf to ~/.gconf.old, and the problem disappeared. Now all I have to do is work out which of the million or so settings in .gconf was affecting it.

@foolishchild: Interestingly, that solved a problem I had with another program whose icon wasn't showing (rescuetime), but parcellite's indicator is still absent :(

By the way I'm on Precise (12.04) using gnome-classic. IIRC it stopped working when I upgraded the distribution.
