Bug Description

I had two tabs open in firefox: http://slashdot.org/ and http://blog.oup.com/2009/03/science-fiction/

With each tab active, the corresponding window titles were "News for nerds, stuff that matters (16) - Mozilla Firefox" and "Nine Words You Might Think Came from Science but Which Are Really from Science Fiction

..."

With the second tab active, gnome-panel crashes, is relaunched, crashes again, and so on. Switching back to the first tab stops it, switching back to the second starts it again.

could you explain why everybody rush into filing duplicates of this bug today where it's there for a cycle?

It's probably that that particular URL was linked to from slashdot, so a lot of people will have encountered the bug for the first time today.

also, I don't have permission to see the bug this is a duplicate of, so I had no way of knowing whether it was a duplicate or not. Could that bug be made public?
