Fingerprint authentication not skippable

Bug Description

I use a Thinkpad X220.

Normally, I use the fingerprint reader and the PAM-module of libfprint to authenticate. It works like a charme.

But when I use my laptop docked with the lid closed, I'm not able to authenticate using my finger. There seems to be no way to skip this authentication type, neither in terminal, nor in Gnome.

There should be a timeout or the possibility to press a key to skip to the next authentication method (would normally be password-authentication).

Thanks for your help,

Peter

You are correct. There seems to be no way to configure authentication so that either fingerprint or password could be used by the situation. When both methods are selected, it always requires the fingerprint first.
