possible workaround.
i got the packagekit-gtk-module rpm, opened it in archive manager and then extracted the missing .so to /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules.
added /usr/lib/gtk-2.0 to /etc/ld.so.conf and ran ldconfig
i also uninstalled all python and gtk nautilus plugins/extensions as well and so far so good.. :-D
