This error is due apparmor_profile for skype. I'm using enforce mode in apparmor . I'm attaching some profiles I get from googling web for securing skype, but as some are working in opensuse 12.1 for me, now Im getting this error in terminal:

[dawiele@delta Videos]$ skype

(<unknown>:4147): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: No GSettings schemas are installed on the system
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)
[dawiele@delta Videos]$

Im attaching those profiles which skype is not working

But after removing apparmor profile with this command:
delta:~# apparmor_parser -R /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.skype

Skype is working fine.

I had the same issue and solved this by adding:
/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/gschemas.compiled mr,
to my skype AppArmor profile.

If ever unsure about other permissions, issue
grep -i denied /var/log/kernel.log
as per the instructions on AppArmor's wiki.

e.g. adding
/user/share/themes/** r,
allowed skype to use GTK themes.
