Bug Description
Binary package hint: osynctool
Hi,
after upgrading from Ubuntu 10.04 (AMD_64t) to 10.10 (AMD_64) it looks as if the msynctool has been removed and osynctool now does this job.
However I'm not able to sync my HTC mobile with Evolution anymore
I even deleted my old partnership between the mobile and the Ubuntu System.
I tried to create a new one but this was not possible as osynctool only shows the evo2-sync plugin avaliable.
I expected to find the synce-opensynce
I have the following packages installed:
osynctool 0.39-1
opensync-
synce-sync-engine 0.15-2
synce-trayicon 0.15-1
synce-gnomevfs 0.13-2
synce-gvfs 0.4-0ubuntu0~
synce-multisync
synce-hal 0.15-1
syncevolution 1.0+ds1~
synce-ui 1.0+ds1~
libsynce0 0.15-1
libsynce-dev 0.15-1
opensyncutils 0.39-4
libopensync1exp7 0.39-4
libopensync1exp
libopensync0 0.22-4ubuntu0.1
A remove and reinstall of these packages didn´t solved the problem.
Regards
Dirk

Well, opensync-0.39 which is in 10.10 does not work with synce, so opensync is pretty much useless in 10.10. This was attempted to roll back before the release, but there was not enough time left.
Possibly this could be done via -updates or in a point release, I don't know.
