In recent Ubuntu distributions including Saucy Salamanderos-prober does not recognise Windows XP on my multi-boot system. I have retained Lucid Lynx 10.04 on one partition to boot from because os-prober in Lucid Lynx does recognise Windows XP. As Lucid Lynx is coming out of the long term support I may not be able to do this in future. Adding the Windows partition and boot information manually does not seem to be a suitable fix.
